This listing is for 6 large die cut seals (stickers) from the 1920s. They were made by Timco Decorations, and are unused, unpunched on their original card. They are large, measuring 3″. They are great for all kinds of antique crafts, great for repairing antique decorations, scrapbooking, making cards, and all kinds of things! They are quite rare! The pieces were called Silver Tinsel Seals, and had quite a bit of real silver in the glitter that has darkened with age. The aged look is called «patina». Its the aged look that things get over time. Patina on reproductions is fairly easy to spot (stickers, furniture and whatever you have) as it will be even, over the entire piece, even into the nooks and crannies. Real patina is caused by different environmental things over the years, and will NOT be even. Another way to tell reproduced paper is to turn it over. If it is bright white, it is new. Old paper will darken and yellow with age. Old paper has a fragility to the feel, and once you handle enough, you will be able to instantly tell the difference. Anyway, these pieces are really charming, and part of my personal collection, which I have decided its time to sell. I am 73, and have had many of the things I am selling for many years. So! Where will you ever see some of this paper again? I have lots of interesting things for sale, and a ton that I will be listing, so check my stuff out, and check back!
