Hola, mi nombre es Vania Parada y en esta ocasión vamos a pintar un lindo portavasos con acrílicos.

Hello, my name is Vania Parada and this time we are going to paint a nice cup holder with acrylics.

Primero le vamos a dar 2 manos de gesso o acrílico blanco al portavaso de mdf.
Posteriormente procedemos a dibujar el diseño.

First we are going to give 2 coats of gesso or white acrylic to the mdf cup holder.
Later we proceed to draw the design.

Comenzamos a pintar el fondo y luego aplicamos la base de color a la flor con un rosa medio, y con un rosa oscuro marcamos la separación de los pétalos y la sombra. Con un tono de rosa más claro pintamos la parte superior de los pétalos.

Amarillo limón usaremos para el centro de la flor.

Para la mariposa primero pintamos una base naranja y luego pintamos un degradado de naranja a un naranja más amarillento. Luego pintaremos las manchas blancas y negras de la mariposa.

We begin to paint the background and then we apply the color base to the flower with a medium pink, and with a dark pink we mark the separation of the petals and the shadow. With a lighter shade of pink we paint the upper part of the petals.
Lemon yellow we will use for the center of the flower.
For the butterfly we first paint an orange base and then paint a gradient from orange to a more yellowish orange. Then we will paint the black and white spots of the butterfly.

Finalmente agregamos los detalles como ser las antenas, patas, manchas del cuerpo y la trompa.

Para darle un toque especial al portavaso, agregamos acrílicos Glamour Dust de DecoArt a los pétalos y a las alas de la mariposa.

Para que nuestro portavaso sea resistente al agua, vamos a darle una mano de barniz brillante, dejamos secar muy bien y luego lo resinamos.

Finally we add the details such as the antennae, legs, body spots and the trunk.
To add a special touch to the cup holder, we added DecoArt Glamor Dust acrylics to the petals and butterfly wings.
To make our cup holder waterproof, we are going to give it a coat of glossy varnish, let it dry very well and then we resin it.
